The cycling industry has had a variety of valve options in the spotlight over the years, but the Clik valve might be here to stay. Riders have gone back and forth trying to find the perfect solution for valves and tire inflation that can fit the large variety of wheel styles, have long lasting durability, and consistent inflation rates. Could an ingenious patented design from a company only 2 years old change the 130+ year old standard for all bicycles?
Award Winning Design
Clik launched their first official product at the 2024 EuroBike event where they were met with great enthusiasm from the cycling community. On top of their overwhelmingly positive reception, Clik also won the 2024 EuroBike Award, driving global interest. By designing their own unique valve core to fit inside the current standard of presta stems, their product sets itself apart as an upgrade to what cyclists are most familiar with. No more unscrewing your presta valves or worrying about levers and locks to keep a consistent flow rate. The secret is in its grip.
How it works
The Clik valve unitizes two main points to make your life easier. First, the Clik valve core replacement simply screws into your existing presta valve, so no need for full stem replacements. Second, is the Clik valve chuck such as our Recon Clik Chuck which is the first brass Clik chuck of its kind. The unique design of the inter-workings of the Clik valve core has been described as a micro Schrader valve. This mechanic when paired with the carefully placed indentations on its exterior design is what allows the Clik chuck to lock into place and provide and quick, yet solid connection every time. Connection and disconnection is as simple as pop on, and pop off.
The Future For Clik
Clik has partnered with us at VIAIR to create the first bespoke brass Clik chuck specifically for our Recon Mini and Recon Mini SL models. As well as their own full line of Clik products and accessories, we speculate even more Clik adoption throughout the cycling industry in the coming years. The 130+ plus year run of traditional tire valves may be finally heading to the horizon as a new era approaches the cycling community.
